Gluten Free Brownies

To make these yummy gluten free treats you will need -

50g best quality dark chocolate
100g butter
200g caster sugar
2 eggs – lightly whisked
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
70g ground almonds
½ tsp gluten free baking powder
Pinch of salt
110g chopped walnuts
To stat with preheat your oven to Oven 180C/350F/Gas 4. Melt the chocolate and whilst that is melting, cream the butter and sugar together. It should be pale, soft and light.

Once the butter and sugar are creamed, beat in the egg mixture and add the vanilla.

Stir in the melted chocolate, ground almonds, baking powder, salt and chopped nuts.

Line a baking tin with baking parchment, then pour the mixture in and bake 30 – 35 mins.

Leave the Brownies to cool then cut in to squares to serve.

This would be a great recipe to do with the little ones over half term and perfect for a treat in your little ones lunch box too!
